Our story
The mechanic behind the name
Fairmile Auto Services is run by Albert, its founder and lead technician. He has spent more than 20 years in the motor trade and gained his professional qualification 14 years ago, after six years of hands-on workshop experience specialising in heavy and light goods vehicles.
Since 2022 he has worked for garages in England, including a French-car specialist in Shrewsbury, before setting up on his own. Wet timing belts on Peugeot, Citroën and Renault engines are one of his specialisms today. Fairmile Auto Services Ltd was incorporated in June 2025.
The logo says “Passion Driven”, and customers tend to notice. In their reviews they describe a mechanic who is polite, turns up on time, explains every repair before he starts and takes pride in doing the job properly.
Why a mobile mechanic?
Because most of what goes wrong with a car can be fixed where it is parked. Working as a mobile mechanic means Albert can come to your home or workplace in Shrewsbury, do the job while you get on with your day and keep the cost down. For the big jobs, such as engine rebuilds, the car is collected, repaired in an equipped workshop and brought back.
